Forward to a New Millennium

1990 - 2024

As the aged care sector became more regulated through Government policy and certifications, Resthaven continued to stay ahead of the curve with voluntary measures such as reporting and accreditation programs.

However, more external pressures were to come. The Royal Commission into Aged Care Quality and Safety was held, with additional requirements placed on all aged care providers. Next came a pandemic that brought extreme changes and challenges for all who lived through it.

1990 - 2004

Community Services Comes of Age

On the cusp of a new millennium, Resthaven was party to the enormous changes taking place in aged care in Australia. Key to future planning, and with residential care firmly established, Resthaven successfully ventured into community care services.

2005 - 2014

Renewed Focus in Service

Moving into its 8th decade, Resthaven was confident and proactive in the range of services and support it was offering to older people. The focus became how to improve these offerings. Additional offices and residential homes were on the cards, as were new electronic systems to better support workers in their care of others.

2015 - 2024

Diversification and Growth

Resthaven celebrated its 80th anniversary with a freshness of spirit and renewal. This era brought planned and considered growth across existing portfolios, as well as exciting ventures in new areas. More broadly, political, economic and health concerns would impact the entire aged care sector.
