Growth and Consolidation

1960 - 1989

Demand for Resthaven's services grew strongly from the 1960s. Not only was Resthaven developing accommodation facilities, but also programs and services to meet the needs of older people living in the community.
At the same time, alterations to Government requirements were a source of concern and occasionally, frustration. New policies were introduced, and organisations were held more accountable. Through discussion and negotiation, positive results were achieved.
1960 - 1974
New Directions
A period of growth for Resthaven, this era brought a more mature approach, with purpose-built accommodation on the cards and additional funding and donations sought.
1975 - 1989
