Governance

Grounded in the teachings and philosophy of the Methodist Church, the roles of the Resthaven Board and Executive have evolved over the past 90 years.

The Resthaven Board

Today, Resthaven has a well-developed, efficient and dedicated management structure and the Board has become a true ‘Board of Governance’.

Although the Board is conscientious in monitoring Resthaven’s progress throughout the year, much time is devoted to future planning and progress. It focuses on organisational purpose, setting and monitoring strategic direction, risk management, operational and financial performance, and governance policies.

The current Board Committees are:

  • Governance and Risk
  • Finance and Technology
  • Clinical Governance and Quality
  • Property and Environment
  • Public and Customer Relations

Board members are diligent in their approach to all committees and monthly meetings, adhering to the founding principles of outstanding care and support for older people.
