Prime Minister Gough Whitlam was sacked by the Governor General on 11 November 1975. The political turmoil created financial uncertainty and an uneasiness among the population. Rev. Keith Wiseman, stepped down as Administrator, making way for Rev. Gordon Symons to take on the role.
