On 15 June 1977, the Methodist, Presbyterian and Congregational Union of Australia churches amalgamated to form the Uniting Church. This was a pivotal time for Resthaven, as it meant that from thereon, prospective residents would no longer just be Methodist. Aged care organisations across each church collaborated to establish common Mission Statements and objectives to guide their way forward.
