In December 1983, the architect of many of Resthaven’s advances, Rev. Gordon Symons, retired as Administrator. The position was then taken up by Kelvin Dickens.

Kelvin, like his predecessors, was a believer in ‘a tenacity of vision’ for Resthaven, with strong enthusiasm and dedication to ‘bring Resthaven to national prominence’.
