1988

With Resthaven Leabrook residents truly settled into the new hostel building, it was decided to bring forward the ducted air conditioning to the hostels. On 23 December 1988, the air conditioning system was switched on. With the heat of the summer, this was a long-awaited event and much appreciated by the residents.
