Volunteer initiatives

Amongst new volunteer initiatives was the introduction of local Volunteer LINK (Local, Interact, Network, Knowledge) meetings — local as well as regional — which acknowledged the diverse range of skills and knowledge of the workforce and promoted a shared learning approach. This strong foundation provided volunteers with continued development in key areas.

In addition, a significant quality improvement initiative involved updating the volunteer role descriptions, which set a baseline for the identification and analysis of future volunteer roles in line with trends and needs.
