Resthaven continued to build trust with the Indigenous community through partnerships with the Uniting Aboriginal Islander Christian Congress and local health services, with new ventures undertaken to forge relationships with Aboriginal elders in Ngarrindjeri towns Kalparrin, Meningie, Murray Bridge and Raukkan.
The following year, Resthaven Northern Community Services developed a similar successful partnership with Aboriginal Home Care, delivering a ‘chronic conditions’ wellness program specifically tailored to meet their needs.
By 2008, 7% of Resthaven’s services at Murray Bridge were provided to Indigenous Australians.
