Aged Care Act changes come into play

A considerable amount of effort by many staff across the organisation was dedicated to the introduction of the Aged Care Funding Instrument (ACFI), a change to the Aged Care Act that was introduced on 20 March 2008.

This was the most significant change to the Aged Care Act since 1997, and it caused a review of the initial assessment of potential applicants for residential care. Assistance from residential management staff greatly assisted the admissions team to understand the requirements of the legislative change.
