2012

Welcoming a new Board President

On 1 January 2012, Mark Porter commenced in the position of Board President, following the retirement of Carole Davidson on 31 December 2011. Carole’s contribution to Resthaven was significant, having given nearly 15 years of service as a member of the Board and Board Executive. She was the first woman appointed as President, and, in this role, her advice, eye for detail and commitment were outstanding. Following her retirement, Carole continued on as a Board Committee member.

In anticipation of Carole Davidson’s tenure ending, Mark Porter joined the Board’s executive as the President elect. A Board member since 2005, Mark was Principal of Woodcroft College and on the Board of the State and National Independent Schools Associations. From the time he joined the Board, Mark was impressed by the energy, enthusiasm and values of those who had served and continued to serve Resthaven.
