With ongoing technological advancements, in 2013 Resthaven focused on investing in its digital systems to improve processes regarding reporting, planning and recruitment.
A major project was to replace the client incident database with an improved, centralised data system for recording client incidents and injuries. The new system provided better reporting outcomes to enable trend monitoring to minimise incident reoccurrence and enable timely notification of serious incidents.
In addition to this, the second phase of the Community Services Electronic Casenotes Documentation Project was completed, including a post implementation review. The project included the introduction of web-based tools to enable Community Services clients and their families to develop their plans of care and service budgets online.
Internally, improvements were made to Resthaven’s intranet, with a new e-recruitment system, RecruitOnline, implemented to automate the recruitment process.
