In light of the infamous statewide blackout, in April 2017, Resthaven was awarded funding for its Guide for Emergency Power Generators for Aged Care Facilities booklet. This guide assisted aged care providers in selecting generators to ensure continuity of electricity during disruptive events. In addition, Resthaven invested $1.56 million to equip each residential aged care home with a generator.
