In April 2018, an official opening of the major redevelopment of Resthaven Malvern was held, with the works completed six months prior. The home also took this opportunity to celebrate its 65th anniversary with a celebratory cake and afternoon tea, along with a video presentation from the Baan Sudthavas residents, with whom Resthaven Malvern residents had a pen pal program.
