In early August 2020, the government was looking to rapidly deploy aged care workers as part of the National Aged Care Emergency Response to address the COVID-19 outbreak in Victoria. Resthaven responded by sending a voluntary team to assist. Selflessly supporting others, the group of six spent four weeks in a COVID-19 hotspot in Melbourne, followed by two weeks in quarantine.
