$33.5m investment at Bellevue Heights

In September 2021, a turf-turning ceremony at Resthaven Bellevue Heights marked the commencement of a major site redevelopment.

It was a welcome advancement, as the redevelopment was originally planned to commence in 2020 but was unfortunately deferred due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

The redevelopment aimed to refurbish the entire home, particularly to replace 32 rooms constructed in the late 1970s. With the goal to improve amenities for residents, the plans outlined consolidating all accommodation under one roof, making it easier for residents to access new and improved communal areas and services.

The street appeal of the home would also be greatly improved, with new fencing, landscaping, and a modern, rendered front. The entrance plans included a covered drop-off area. Great care was taken to ensure that the new build would blend into the natural hills environment of Resthaven Bellevue Heights, which is a wonderful feature.
