While Resthaven’s existing governance structure was found to meet the majority of the requirements under the aged care reforms, revisions were made to the Board Committee Structure to better support Resthaven’s strategic objectives and committee workload.
Changes included the addition of a Public and Customer Relations Committee, an extension of focus for the Board Governance Committee to become the Governance and Risk Committee and Clinical Governance and Quality Committee.
From 1 July 2021, the new Board Committees were:
• Governance and Risk
• Finance and Technology
• Clinical Governance and Quality
• Property and Environment
• Public and Customer Relations.
