In 1953, Corinna (the property of the noted surgeon, Dr Shorney) at Cambridge Terrace, Malvern, was purchased for £8,690. The Resthaven Board, mindful of the growth in the need for accommodation for the aged, looked forward to the development of another scheme that would add lustre to the name, Resthaven.
